By sacred space, I mean, a place where you can sit, meditate, relax, reflect, read, pray, journal, think, etc... Think of it as a container to hold you when you need to come into yourself in the morning or after busy day. And because of the repetition, the energy builds, like a battery.
What does it look like, feel like? What do you have in it? Does it make you feel at peace? If your resting and decompressing time is in front of the tube or on the computer, I'm asking you to take some time out this week to create a nook, a space where you can feel safe to be, to decompress and feel peace in your home, to sit with your body, mind and spirit. It doesn't take much, but it's a great way to reconnect to self, to rest and ease, in your home. A sacred space can be a chair you love where you light a candle near and sit for a few minutes a day. It could be set up as you shower while listening to soothing music. It could be a yoga mat on the floor where you stretch and tune into your body. It could be a space on your bookshelf where you keep sacred objects and a journal or diary of your thoughts and processing. It may be a creative space where you write or draw. What are you going to do this week to improve upon or create your sacred space? Tell me about it! I'd love to know. So Much Love, Vivian Astara
